The memorial celebration event for our dear friend, Bill Perry, was a very emotional and loving day. With matching funds from the Music For Humanity Non-Profit Organization, we proudly gave away the first Bill Perry Scholarship Award to Chester, NY high school graduate, Kelly Vandemark. Many well-known local musicians, who performed variously with Perry over the years, performed throughout the day to celebrate their friend. Also at the event, was the unveiling of the grand Fender™ Stratocaster chain-saw guitar sculpture. This magnificent sculpture was created by Rachel Bertoni's husband, Robert Finstad, in honor of Bill Perry. It stands tall and is permanently displayed in the Bertoni Gallery Sculpture Garden. We hope to make Bill Perry Day an annual event, so that the family of friends and fans may grow bigger through the love of music, keeping the legacy of blues/rock guru, Bill Perry, alive!
